Guest accommodations

Culverdene House offers two large guest bedrooms with comfortable seating space, large windows and 10 ½ ft. ceilings. Both rooms have private bathrooms and air conditioning. Bathrobes, toiletries and hairdryers are provided. A K-cup machine with a selection of teas and coffees and a refrigerator stocked with bottled water, cream and milk are located in the main hall.

The South Room

This bright and airy room with its antique double bed features a large comfortable sitting area and a modern ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower.

The North Room

The earthy tones and antiques in the North Room reflect the character of this heritage home. This room has a queen-size bed and features a gas fireplace. The spacious, fully private bathroom is located just down the hall.

The Breakfast

We offer a variety of breakfast choices from the traditional bacon and eggs to a wholesome mix of cereal, fruit and yogurt and will adapt our menu to your dietary requirements. Our ingredients are sourced locally as much as possible, including free-range eggs, grass and grain fed pork and beef, maple syrup and fresh fruits in season. Our coffee is fresh-ground, our juices are fresh-pressed and our jams and ketchup are homemade using ingredients growing on the property.

The Living/Dining Room

The elegant living/dining room reserved for the exclusive use of our guests features original contemporary art, a gas fireplace and a Nordheimer piano of 1890s vintage. Magazines, books and games such as Scrabble and Crokinole are available for your enjoyment.

The Grounds

Enjoy a walk around the 1.6 acres of trees and gardens, relax in the courtyard or toast marshmallows over the fire pit in the yard.
